Mentor a Man
In November, we are launching AK Foundations, a program to bring new men into All Kings during COVID-19.
Our goal is to add 12 new men (6 men per community), including at least 6 men impacted by the criminal justice system.
The 10-week program, which will launch on November 7, will introduce new men to All Kings through a series of trainings, circles, and mentor meetings.
Each new man will receive:
An introductory 6-hour training (similar to our recent online trainings)
6 weeks of mentoring from a trained initiated man (1 hour/week)
6 weeks of teaching about AK processes and philosophy during the weekly circles
We are seeking initiated men to participate in the program as mentors.
For the program to work, we need 12 initiated men to guide and hold these new men.
Requirements of mentorship:
Attend the Mentor Training on Saturday, October 10 (10am - 6pm)
Staff the Introductory Training on Saturday, November 7 (10am - 6pm)
Mentor a new man for 6 weeks (@1 hr per week starting November 8)
Show up regularly in weekly circle
Benefits of mentorship:
Learn to authentically support another man in his personal growth
Learn to effectively build trust, set goals, and connect
Give back to your community and your neighborhood
Help create a village of men you can rely on and be proud of
Through AK Foundations, you can offer a man the gift of a real brotherhood, as well as the opportunity to know and accept himself in ways he never imagined. You might literally change his life.
